"I heard the
band at the Garden and thought you all were wonderful! My wife was going
with her girlfriend and talked me into coming down after work she told me
that there was a big band playing. I got there just as you started
and I cant tell you what a great experience it was listening to you play.
I think I expected some amateur group, and you guys knocked my socks
off!"

"I enjoy receiving your newsletter. I am a drummer
who loves the big band sound and has had the privilege of hearing your
group play at several gigs. Keep up the great sound!" "This summer I had the opportunity to attend the
wonderful Birch Creek Summer Music Academy and wanted to thank you for
assisting me so that I could have this once in a lifetime chance. With the
money you graciously donated I was able to study under some of the greatest
players in the entire world including members of the Maynard Ferguson Big
Band, the Smithsonian Jazz Band, the Airmen of Note, and even including
professors from Eastman, Indiana, DePauw, and Roosevelt. I was also able to
play with some of the best high school musicians in the country. "Thank you for everything last night. The band was
fantastic and I know everyone enjoyed it. I would really like to host this
type of event again." ~Suzannne
Hellebusch First National Bank of St. Louis "Thanks - hearing the music yesterday brought back some great

performance on Saturday. Your music definitely added to the success of the
event. We heard a lot of fabulous compliments regarding the band." "What a great day last Sunday was! Thank you for your
talent, music and especially your warmth of friendship you all expressed to
our father." ~Marcia
and Melissa "WOW! What a great way to start out the 2004/2005 season!
The Gateway City Big Band was
outstanding. The dance floor was full all evening and the vocalists added that
special touch to make it a great night of dancing and listening." ~The Great River Jazz Preservation Society |
