ALEC PATTON — The 2009-2010 season will be Alec’s fourth year as a performer with the Gateway City Big Band.  He is a music teacher with the Rockwood South Middle School Band Program and Assistant Marching Band Director with the Rockwood Summit Silver Falcon Marching Band.  Alec grew up as a young musician in the St. Charles School District under the direction of Ken Drury, Dave Libby and Terry Martinez, and later attended Missouri State University, earning his Music Education Degree as an undergraduate student.

Alec has been a clinician and private teacher with several schools in the state of Missouri and traveled abroad to Kenya where he was able to teach music in both public and private schools.  Currently Alec is performing with the St. Louis Brass Band and he has performed as a member of the 2004 Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, Nairobi Symphony Orchestra, Missouri State Wind Ensemble, Missouri State Jazz Ensemble, Missouri State Orchestra, and with fellow musicians Col. John R. Bourgeois, Mark Camphouse, Ron Carter, Marilyn Maye, Ed Soph, Frank Tichell, Clark Terry, Christopher Tucker, Frank Stallone, Mike Vax and Jim Widner.
